I’m sorry I haven’t posted in a few weeks but I haven’t been able to type very well lately. This is because three weeks ago I had an accidental collision with another skater and broke my right wrist. As a result I’ve been unable to do many things like write, type, walk the dogs, drive or even pick up my camera. The last one I miss more than anything. The good news is I’m healing as I should be – slow but steady and I can use my hand a little more each day. The first two weeks of having a cast that restricted my elbow was the worst. At times I thought my elbow was as sore as my wrist, but I’ve got a smaller cast now which means a little more movement and I don’t have to have it in a sling. Of course when I did have to wear the sling I decorated it to support my roller derby team. I may not be able to skate but I’m still there cheering them on. Well, I’ve rambled on long enough. Don’t worry too much about me, my wonderful husband has been taking good care of me and even cooked Thanksgiving dinner. I hope all of you enjoyed your Thanksgivings as well. Check back soon for updates. I’ll get my hands back on my camera as soon as I can!
Naomi & Jim’s Wedding November 4, 2009
As promised here are some pictures from Naomi and Jim’s wedding. After our great vacation in Europe we stopped in Michigan for a few days to attend my sister-in-law’s wedding and visit family before heading home to California. The wedding was beautiful and we had so much fun getting to spend time with everyone.
A few shots from the bridal suite of everyone getting ready.

Sometime getting into the perfect dress takes a little help from your friends.

An artistic take on the flowers and rings.

How cute is the flower girl!

A quick kiss by the vintage Rolls Royce before they climb in and take off.

A sweet moment between father and daughter.

And even though I prefer to be behind the lens rather than in front of it we did get all dressed up, so here is one of me and my Mr.

London November 2, 2009
We’re home from our trip and finally settled back in. Bags are unpacked, laundry is done and now it’s time to get back to work. Before we do that I wanted to share with you a few pictures my husband took of London at night. I think the city is so beautiful at night with all of the lights. Hope you like them too and be sure to check back in a couple days to see a few great images from my sister-in-laws wedding!

Paris October 1, 2009
We had a wonderful 2 days in Paris this week. We stayed at the Gentle Gourmet B&B and it was amazing. The food was delicous, our hosts were friendly and welcoming and we were only a few minutes walk from the Arc de Triomphe. Since it had been 10 years since my last visit to Paris and this was my husbands first trip, we did all of the major tourist things – Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe (at night when the city all lit up), strolled the Champs Elysees, explored the Louvre, ate baguettes, met an old family friend at a cafe overlooking the Pompidou Center. I wanted to share a few photos from this beautiful city. Hope you enjoy.
Jeremy and I ready for a day at the Louvre

This may be my favorite image from the trip. Any idea where in Paris it was taken? (I’ll give you a hint, there are 284 steps and I’m REALLY glad I didn’t drop my camera)

The view from the Eiffel Tower.

And of course the Eiffel Tower doing it’s hourly light show. Just beautiful.

Harlaxton September 28, 2009
As some of you already know the husband and I are enjoying a little vacation in the UK. We’ve traveled to a few cities and seen a few shows. And couple days ago we had the opportunity to visit Harlaxton College which was my home away from home when I did a semester abroad exactly 10 years ago this fall. It was as beautiful as I remembered and I was a little surprised at how easy it was to remember my way around the place. It was such a great experience being able to show my husband around the beautiful grounds and even spend the night in the Manor (and not in a dorm room!) I wanted to share a couple quick pictures with you so you could see just what I mean. I am so lucky to have got to live and study in such beautiful surroundings.

The Green Eyed Monsters September 23, 2009
Recently I had a chance to work the two amazing women behind the soon to be famous web series that is The Green Eyed Monsters. We had a great time last weekend shooting some promo shots for the series. They were so much fun to work with and gave me a chance to experiment with some new styles. It’s a little different from the work I normally share here, but I hope you like it and please leave me comment with your thoughts.

The view from my patio July 27, 2009
Last night the sun was setting, the moon was out and the sky was such a beautiful mix of colors. So I ran inside to grab my camera and back out to the patio to take a few quick pictures. What do you think?

New Backdrop July 22, 2009
On a day trip to Pasadena last week, I picked up a new backdrop. I like the solid pop of color from the seamless paper so I decided to try one out. Here are a few images from my first shoot with it. This adorable little boy was so friendly and full of smiles. It was a great time. His big sister was a little more camera shy but I caught a few images of her showing off her beautiful smile.

Just after she ducked behind a chair, she popped out to show me this great smile. I know it’s not on the backdrop, but it was just too cute to pass up.
